NGO House is a partner of the forthcoming initiative Gabrovo Innovation Camp 2016. The event will be held in Gabrovo in the first days of October. Mrs. Nadya Shabani, Director of the Bulgarian Center for Not-for-profit Law will be one of the mentors in the challenges.
Gabrovo Innovation Camp 2016 is an initiative of the President of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev and the President of the Committee of the Regions of the European Union Markku Markkula. The event will be organized with the support of the Regional Information Center – Gabrovo and MEP Eva Paunova and Andrew Novakov.
The forum aims to manifest the talent and imagination of active and engaged people who will together seek innovative solutions to important challenges of modern society.
Participants will work together from September 30 to October 2, 2016, guided by professionals in the role of mentors. The teams will be looking for innovative solutions in three main challenges:
OVERCOMING THE INNOVATION DIVIDE IN EUROPE
SMART SPECIALISATION IN EDUCATION IN LAGGING CITIES AND REGIONS
XXI CENTURY DEMOCRACY
The camp will be for everyone over the age of 17 years, motivated to develop their creative ideas into innovative social solutions. The camp will be held on the territory of the National Aprilov High School and will end with a presentation of the developed ideas.

The idea to organize a camp for innovation in Gabrovo with the support of the Committee of the Regions and the Presidency arose in April this year and has been supported an organized by the mayor of Gabrovo – Tanya Hristova.
