Decisive, willful and bold
The “Vihrogontsi” run with the wind, move, hike, venture. And live. At home and abroad they flourish sometimes in the nature and sometimes on the road. They search for and often discover the horizons they aspire the, meanings and the peaks. And the come back to tell their stories and to inspire by example – if they had managed surely you will be able as well.
Since October at the NGO House you will have the opportunity to meet the most unusual of people – travelers, sportspeople, adventurers, nature lovers and involved in the civil society athletes. They will inspire you not only with how physically active they are but with their causes as well. They will share useful information about their undertakings – from logistics to emotional experiences. After listening to them it will be likely for you to wish to grab your backpack, hop in your tracking shoes and head to the peaks of your dreams. And this is just enough for a person to “afford” the freedom to live his or hers dreams.
What’s ahead?
- Continental Divide Trail – the last piece of the puzzle “Triple Crown” of USA – presentation of Petar Vanev. Date: 2 October 2019, starting at 7 pm.
Our first guest speaker will be the traveler Petar Vanev who will tell you of his adventures during his Continental Divide Trail – the last overwhelmed piece of the Triple Crown, with which he had achieved one of his biggest dreams – to walk the three longest hiking trails in the US with combined length of 12 500 km.
The young man from Rousse will share curious stories and useful information on how more than 4000 km are being walked in four months and a half through the “spine” of America on the Continental Divide Trail and how motivation is preserved on the verge of exhaustion. He will share the stories of the rescue mission after a blizzard in Colorado, of the fight against ones ego and of the unexpected friends and of the price of the satisfaction.
